The Colony House Wedding | Kevin & Rachel
This past weekend on August 23rd, 2025, I had the honor of photographing Kevin and Rachel's wedding at The Colony House in Anaheim, California. The Colony House is one of the most unique wedding venues in Orange County, and this celebration perfectly showcased both its charm and the love between such an amazing couple.
I had previously taken Kevin and Rachel's engagement photos in the studio, so walking into their wedding day felt familiar and comfortable. Having that engagement session beforehand made such a difference — it gave us a chance to connect, helped them feel confident in front of the camera, and ultimately allowed their wedding photos to flow naturally.
The Colony House Wedding Venue in Anaheim
The Colony House recently underwent renovations, and it looked absolutely incredible for Kevin and Rachel's big day. Their ceremony backdrop was a beautifully designed green wall, adding a fresh, modern, and elegant touch to their vows. Indoors, the venue's warm and contemporary design created the perfect atmosphere for the reception.
As a Southern California wedding photographer, I love how The Colony House combines modern industrial vibes with natural greenery — it's versatile, photogenic, and a wonderful location for couples who want a stylish yet intimate wedding in the heart of Orange County.
A Day Full of Moments
The day began with getting ready photos on both sides. Kevin and Rachel were surrounded by close family and friends, and we made sure to capture not just the details but also the emotions of those quiet, in-between moments.
Before the ceremony, we photographed a variety of family portraits and romantics. The venue's natural light and the textures of its architecture provided countless opportunities for creative shots.
